In the early 1970s, just as Bernice’s children were nearing college age, Bernice decided to pursue a degree in Comparative Religion & Biblical Studies at Trinity College in Hartford. Since the school did not have an MA program, Bernice earned a second BA degree. Fortunately, Trinity gave her credit for courses she’d taken at Syracuse University two decades earlier. So her courseload (and tuition) at Trinity was devoted exclusively to her major track.
Her senior essay was entititled: Torah and Christ: A Comparison of Rabbinic Jewish and Early Christian Interpretation of the Bible.
