Don’t know if I told you \u2014 After many years sitting on the Israel Task Force of the Community Relations Council of the Federation, I was asked last year to sit on the Board of the CRC (about 7 people). My name is now on the Federation stationery! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meetings are interesting and the people (most of whom I’ve know over the years in one connection or another) dedicated, articulate, intelligent and open-minded. It’s interesting that this group exhibits \u2014 vis-a-vis Israel \u2014 the same spectrum of opinions and positions seeming to take shape in Israel itself, and in the American Jewish community. We all seem to realize that the relationship between Israelis and American Jewry is changing and will change more, but most of us haven’t grasped the direction or how to go in it. For me the direction is toward business and economic, educational and cultural exchange and certainly away from philanthropy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
