Memories and Reflections
I knew the final hike of Season 5—from Shaalavim to Mitzpeh Modiin—wouldn’t be just another day on the Israel Trail. Throughout the day, as we explored an area rich in biblical and modern history, my thoughts often turned to my own past and my connection to the places we visited. Having marked my 70th birthday, I felt compelled not just to write about the hike, but to share some of my own experiences—and the people who have been part of my journey.
